Building a Green Future with Modular Rainwater Harvesting

Building a Green Future with Modular Rainwater Harvesting

Why must one go with modular rainwater harvesting? Should we incorporate this technology into our modern architecture? Exactly, some obvious concerns hit our minds when we talk about innovative solutions. Here, rain water harvesting is a traditional methodology used for saving rainwater from the last many decades. But, we ignore the significance of rainwater when we enter into modernisation. Urbanisation and modern architecture don’t consider building modular rainwater harvesting systems. That’s why we are facing the problem of water scarcity in today’s time.

We are 18% of the world’s population but have only 4% of the world’s water resources, making us the most water-stressed country in the world.  As per the latest data, out of 1.4 billion people, 678 million people lack access to safe toilets and 35 million people can’t get safe water. By 2030, the demand for water in India will double the supply of water.

Huge pressure is created on water resources due to rapid urbanisation and population growth.

Modular Rainwater Harvesting

Simply, storing or conserving the rain water to save for later unfolds the concept of rainwater harvesting. It’s been part of our survival from last many generations. But, due to urbanisation and modern architecture, we are not taking the conservation of rain water seriously. Therefore, we at Retas provide innovative solutions to harvest rain water through modular technology.

Modular technology in rain water harvesting helps us to make a significant contribution towards environmental sustainability compared to traditional methods. Therefore, we design, construct, and build RAINMAXX® modular tanks by recycling single-use plastic. Moreover, the advantages of our modular technology are as follows:

  • Quick installation
  • Robust structural design
  • Create any shape and size
  • Cost-effective
  • The top surface can be used in other activities

How do we build rain water harvesting system?

We follow a step-by-step process to build the system for harvesting the rain water. By designing modular tanks to clean the recharge well, our team of engineers monitor every step and installs the system thoroughly. Keeping the project requirments in mind, we install the system using Rainmaxx® Modules in the below steps:

  • Recharge well
  • Perform excavation
  • Prepare base
  • Lay and cut off geotextile
  • Lay Rainmaxx modules
  • Assemble the Rainmaxx modules
  • Wrap the geotextile
  • Backfilling & connecting of micro filter
  • Clean the recharge well

To promote environmental sustainability, we use recycled single-use plastic. Bringing innovation in rain water harvesting, we tackle major problems: harvesting rainwater and recycling single-use plastic. We use recycled polypropylene which allows us to provide a 30-year warranty with every installation.
